Customer Reviews

Great swing...if you WANT your baby to get a head injury (2009-05-08)
I bought this for my son when he was about a month old. When he reached about 15 pounds, the swing kept stopping swinging...I returned twice and
both replacements had the same problem. I used it anyway, even though it would often stop swinging, and when my son was old enough to move his head and lean over, his head banged on the metal railing holding the swing. I called Fisher Price and I am shocked to see that they have not recalled this product, it is downright dangerous!

Sanity-Saver (2009-03-14)
I received this swing as a gift after my son was born. It took him a month or two to get interested, but around the same time his colic and acid reflux kicked in, this became our life-saver. I am soooo grateful my friend thought to get me a plug-in swing as opposed to battery-operated because we would have dropped TONS of money replacing the batteries on this thing for how much we used it.

I'll admit it, there were some nights this was the ONLY way my son would stay asleep. I would lay on the couch to be near him and make sure he was safe, but some nights there was no other way we would have gotten any sleep at all.

My complaints about the swing are few:
-I wish it reclined more. He slept in it a lot, anyway, but I would have felt better about it if it had leaned back more.
-The mobile is incredibly dull. He still liked the swing once we got through colic, but would get bored quickly and I think it would have freed me up a little more if there had been more interesting things to look at.

Other than that, we rarely had a problem with the swing stopping itself because something hung down, we just made sure to tuck blankets in tight around him. I liked the colors; the swing sat in our living room so the muted colors were far preferable to the bright stuff of other baby products. The music was fine, we were never bothered by it, and I don't think he really cared one way or the other. The speeds don't vary a LOT, but I'm positive my baby didn't care at all, swinging is swinging, right? We didn't have a high chair when we first started him on solids, so we used the swing at feeding time and it worked great. We got tons of use out of this for a good six months.

I have used my sister-in-law's baby swing before, a papasan that can swing side to side, but my son didn't seem to care one way or the other which way he swung. This swing is a good price, it saves you money in the long run, and it gets the job done. I would happily use it again, although I wish this same concept came in more styles. It would be nice if it reclined more.

Great Function, Okay Looks (2009-01-06)
The songs are nice. I'm glad there is volume control. And I am over the moon that it doesn't require batteries! I've used it with two babies now, and it was a winner with both. Just wish it has more attractive to the adult eye. But the kids seemed fine with it.

Third and winning swing for us! (2008-12-09)
This is the last swing I will buy. It has won over a Graco that was too fast and the motor burned after a week, and a Cosco that was cheap and only one speed worked. It has gentle swinging that doesn't go too high, the plug in feature is great and we haven't zapped the motor, it's a lot easier to get our baby in and out than the others, it's very quiet, and the blue color is very tame to fit our decor. I feel confident our baby isn't getting motion sickness in this swing. So far, so good and I hope this swing keeps up the great work!

Sweet Swing (2008-11-01)
We purchased this in Aug 08 and it has held up well over the last three months.

First read the directions prior to assembly.

What we love:

Plug-in operation! This has saved so much in batteries it's not even funny.

Fabric durability! Had a few accidents on the way and washed it few times, stitching holds up well and no shrinking.

Motor durability! We run this about an hour a day on average, however when our child was sick we plugged it in next to the bed and ran it all night twice without issue.

What could be done better:

Although this swing is not any bigger than others we have had in the past, a simple design modification at the joints could allow this swing to fold up and store better. Our home is rather small and every bit of space counts.

Recline could use some work.
